ABOUT ME

As a self-taught UI/UX designer I am fascinated with the intersection of design and technology and always seeking to grow and learn something new.

I studied environmental design at Texas A&M University where my passion for creating beautiful and functional designs for people grew. My time there taught me how to empathize with both client and user needs, critical design-thinking, 3D and 2D design tools, and how design impacts the world around us.

During my time at A&M I interned with the architecture firm, The Beck Group, where I learned how to apply these skills and work with diverse teams who were dedicated and excited to provide beautiful experiences for people through architecture.

I really fell in love with technology and how it can enhance our experience after having the opportunity to showcase one of my building designs in VR during a final critique and speaking with a coworker at The Beck Group who showed me how they use coding for energy modeling. I decided I wanted to pursue a career in UI/UX design and taught myself how to code through online programs like codecademy and personal projects like a mock jewelry company webpage and this portfolio website. I also continued honing my design and empathy skills I learned at university and began applying them to UI projects, learning tools like Figma and creating prototypes.

Currently, I am looking for a fulltime UI/UX Designer position. If you think that I would be a great fit for your team or want to talk about design, feel free to contact me via email!
